There’s one question that we get asked a lot. What’s the secret? What’s the secret of the Pinocchio Kindergarten? How is it that this year, for example, four children applied from the kindergarten to the Áldás utcai Primary School, and all four children got a place after taking the entrance test? Last year two children from our kindergarten applied to Áldás, and both were accepted. The year before last all four children who wanted to go to Áldás got in! Local parents know how difficult it is to be admitted to Áldás because it’s so oversubscribed, with often as many as eight to ten children applying for each place. That same year five children applied to attend another popular school, the Szabó Lőrinc Bilingual Primary School, and all five were accepted. That year seven times as many children applied for the first class of the Szabó Lőrinc School as there were places. A quarter of the class of 20 children came from the Pinocchio Nursery! And last year two children applied to Szabó Lőrinc, two to the Austrian School and all got in. We could give countless more examples. Can all those achievements simply be a matter of chance? Hardly.

So, what’s the secret? And is it a secret at all? When selecting a kindergarten, you can look at the building, the garden, the games the children are playing, exchange a few words with the kindergarten teachers and meet the friendly kindergarten head.
